Based on Google AER requirements, the manufacturer must make sure the security patch of the model will be upgraded for 5 years. Generally, the security update frequency is quarterly with SMR. However, sometime the update maybe included in the MR or system firmware versions. The users should accept and update the released security patch, for safety and more smooth experience.
